Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 invasion in host cells via interaction of S protein with host's angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 receptors. This causes priming of S2 by TMPRSS2 to release S2 fragment. S2 mediates fusion of virus with host cell membrane resulting in virus uptake.
