As we go into the August issue of the Journal of the Practice of Cardiovascular Sciences, we have an excellent collection of articles ranging from reviews on G-protein-coupled receptor signaling and its importance in cardiology and refractory hypertension and our usual update in cardiology. Original articles describe the characteristics of thrombi taken from acute myocardial infarction patients, and another study describes the three-dimensional echo findings in acute coronary syndrome patients, while the third is a large Indian heart transplant series. AIIMS Rishikesh is keeping the flag of AIIMS flying high. The bedside case this time is chronic constrictive pericarditis. Statistics covers forest plots. The Book Review is the “Knife's Edge….,” a surgeon's life experience, a must read.
