With technology being given a push by the government, cardiologists in India cannot be far behind, and in this issue, we cover a number of technological advances which aid the cardiologist. This includes a recently developed smartphone app for heart failure called Dhadkan which is available on Google play store and has recently been validated. A review article discusses newer ways to detect infection using nucleic acid techniques. Our curriculum section has a patient of patent ductus arteriosus with infective endocarditis and explains the concepts of Kaplan–Meier statistics by actually giving you a chance to actually do it with online calculators. A history of medicine section traces the Foundation of AIIMS from the thought process to the parliament debate to some of its initial leaders. This will inspire the newer AIIMS to follow the same examples and try to achieve the same height of excellence. The original articles include the use of a simple measure like mean platelet volume in coronary artery disease patients, using the pericardium for the right ventricular outflow tract patch and an attempt to find out why our patients with myocardial infarction have delayed treatment. With this issue, we complete 2 years! We would love to have feedback from our readers, both positive and negative and what else would they want for a journal which is meant to be a Teaching Journal.
