The Lisie Hospital is a hospital near Kaloor, in Ernakulam, Kerala, India, was founded in memory of Mar Augustine Kandathil, shortly after his demise, in 1957 [Figure 1].

It is a tertiary referral hospital and one of the largest in Cochin. The Lisie Heart Institute is a major interventional Cardiology and Cardiothoracic Centre. It was instrumental in performing the first heart transplantation in the state of Kerala. It's a multi specialty hospital with around 900 beds and state of the art facilities in all major departments.

Lisie Heart Institute is the cardiovascular wing of the hospital, and it is one of the largest volume Cardiovascular Centre in the state and even in South India. The Cardiology Department has five full-time consultants and two interventional fellows and does all coronary, structural, and peripheral interventions. The Electrophysiology Department is one of the largest in the state with state of the facilities including three-dimensional mapping systems. The Cardiothoracic Department is the largest volume centre in private sector in the state and does around 1000 surgeries per year and has four cardiothoracic surgeons. It is the largest heart transplant centre in the state and so far done 13 transplants including a re-transplantation with good success.
